PLOT: This one was easy to choose. Because Auracle is a more light read, with a more predictable plot. I'm going to go with Venom. I'm not much into mystery books but in Venom I liked it.
SHOCK FACTOR: Once again Auracle was a light, fun book. Not many "OMG what just happened" moments. So this on goes to Venom. However, Venom, for me, also wasn't that shocking, but out of the two it was the least predictable.
CHARACTERS: I really liked the characters in Venom. Cassandra and Falco were great. But I do like my characters with more of a sense of humor and it also had great friendships, which is my favorite thing to read about. And that's exactly what I got out of Auracle.
ROMANCE: Auracle had a nice, sweet romance and I do love reading friends-to-lovers theme books. However it was missing a little something for it to be incredible. So I'm going with Venom. Cassandra and Falco were a great match. I loved reading about them and can't wait to read more in the second book.
ENDING: This one is kind of a no-brainer for me. Since Venom is the first book in a series the ending didn't feel complete and you don't get all the answers you want. So I choose Auracle, because it is a stand-alone with a finished ending.
OVERALL: As much as I enjoyed Auracle, because sometimes you just need a nice, easy read. Overall I'm going to go with Venom, because even though I sometimes like easy reads, I also like a book with a bit more drama.
